NEW YORK–(www.jr.com),
New York City’s must-shop destination for electronics, and NextWorth, a
leader in consumer electronics upgrades and trade-ins, today announces
the new JR electronics trade-in and save service, available both
in-store and online. In time for the holidays, the program aims to help
customers save money when they upgrade to new electronics by trading in
old items for store credit.
“It’s a thrill for us at NextWorth to provide an electronics trade-in
program to such a well-respected retail store as JR”
Powered by NextWorth, JR customers can now come to the Lower Manhattan
retail icon to conveniently trade-in used electronics items in the store
and instantly receive a JR gift card for the value of their used
gadget. Two convenient trade-in locations are available, at 23 Park Row
on the main floor, and 1 Park Row at customer returns. The store
trade-in service is now accepting cell phones, iPhones, iPods, iPads,
digital cameras, tablets, e-readers, Nintendo DS units and video games.
Consumers can expect to receive the following great values for trading
in Apple products in-store, in addition to great deals on cell phones,
cameras, video games and more.
- Up to $350 for an iPad 2
- Up to $180 for an iPhone 4
- Up to $115 for an iPod Touch
“Giving our customers the opportunity to trade in and trade up in one
convenient location is a natural extension of JR’s renowned customer
service,” said Rachelle Friedman, co-CEO of JR. “Providing our
customers with greater value and purchasing power for the latest and
greatest in electronics is what JR is all about. We are very pleased to
be partnering with NextWorth in this important service that benefits
everyone, from the consumer, to the vendors, to our environment.”
Used electronics are also accepted for trade in online at www.jr.com.
Online consumers can trade in a broader selection of products such as
laptops, game consoles and GPS devices, in addition to the categories
available at the store. Customers trading in online will answer a few
short questions about the device and be given an estimated trade-in
value. A free, fully insured UPS shipping label is provided and once the
product is received and the value is confirmed, customers are sent a JR
gift card.
“It’s a thrill for us at NextWorth to provide an electronics trade-in
program to such a well-respected retail store as JR,” said Dave Chen,
CEO of NextWorth. “Working with JR further solidifies our approach of
offering turnkey trade-in solutions to retailers.”
