The Training Associates, the largest provider of training delivery solutions and trainers on demand in the United States, recently hired Art Sharkey of Westborough as its human resources manager.

His responsibilities consist of planning and directing programs for all human resources areas, including recruiting, employee relations and equal employment opportunity.

Sharkey was previously human resources site manager for the Rohm and Haas Co. in Marlborough.

He has an MBA degree from Boston College and a bachelor’s degree from John Jay College.

Humboldt Storage and Moving, greater Boston’s oldest moving company and a United Van Lines agent, recently announced that Dan Komm of Marlborough has been promoted to director of residential business.

Komm has been employed by Homboldt since graduating from Bentley College in Waltham in 2004. His most current role is director of brand experience.

In his new role, Komm will oversee a team of residential sales representatives in trying to build more local moving accounts in greater Boston.

Komm will also continue to the lead the company’s marketing, public relations and branding efforts along with his added responsibilities.

 

Alan Cherish of Marlborough has been named agent of the month for both August and September at Weichert Realtors-Ernie Houde Associates in Marlborough.

Cherish earned agent of the year honors in 2010.

He joined the company in January 2008 and has 13 years of experience as a specialist in the over-55/active adult communities throughout the Boston, MetroWest suburbs and Middlesex and Worcester counties.

Cherish also has a Weichert certified relocation specialist designation and is a member of the Weichert Lead Network.

 

Conservation Services Group in Westborough recently announced that Lisa M. Ludwig of Northborough has been named vice president of strategic initiatives, a newly created position at the national energy services firm.

In this role, Ludwig is responsible for formulating growth plans through new business acquisitions and strategic initiatives, while overseeing business development activity.

Most recently, Ludwig was vice president of marketing and business development for Ambient Corp., a Smart Grid IP networking company.

She holds a B.S. degree in computer science from Merrimack College.

 

The Association for Behavioral Healthcare (ABH), a Natick-based statewide organization representing more than 80 community-based behavioral health care provider organizations, recently announced its 2011 Recognition Awards.

At this Salute to Excellence event, Angela Dalessio, program director of The Recovery Connection at Spectrum Health Systems in Marlborough, was awarded the Moe Armstrong Award for Peer Leadership for her advocacy and leadership in providing services to individuals with addiction.

Each year, ABH recognizes human service employees, young people, consumer and family advocates and others who have made outstanding contributions to the field of mental health and addiction treatment.

Dalessio resides in Shrewsbury.
