The Charlestown YMCA will host a free open house from Wednesday, January 18 through Sunday, January 22 to help the community kick off a year of healthy living. With a state-of-the-art fitness center boasting an additional 700 square feet and new free weight equipment, a sauna, 25 yard 4-lane lap pool and basketball court, all right in the Navy Yard, the Y makes committing to an active lifestyle fun and convenient.
“Living healthier is all about taking small steps,” says Charlestown YMCA’s Director of Membership Operations Ashley Fillip who advises eating nutritious foods and incorporating physical activity into daily routines (e.g. taking stairs instead of elevators, walking instead of driving, etc.), “and the Y is here to help. With our range of programs and services for people of all ages and abilities, there’s something for everyone,” she continues.
