I gotta get to the storah and pick up a few things, but first I gotta go find my kha kis — no, not a parahapants, the things to staht my kha.
Hey, where’s my pockabook?
WHY THE PATS WIN SUNDAY’S GAME – THE PARTY: The Patriots have too many offensive weapons and if Brady is on, so are the Pats. New England needs tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez in top form, a big game from Wes Welker and will rely on the “Law Firm” aka BenJarvis Green-Ellis out of the backfield. So while defense wins championships and the Giants have a surging one, I’m going with my heart instead of my head.
Michael Felci – New York Giants
FOOD – ON THE GO: New York is an incredibly fast-paced city, and there’s no better food to eat on the go than a slice of piping hot, thin-crust pizza. And there’s a right way to eat it: folded, like a man.
ICONIC TV SHOW – TAKE YOUR PICK: Just about every great show in television history has been set in the Big Apple, from “I Love Lucy” to “The Real Housewives of New York” (OK, not so great).
But more than a particular series, it’s an era that stands out — the 1970s and ’80s. Shows like “The Odd Couple,” “Barney Miller,” “Taxi,” “The Cosby Show” and “Diff’rent Strokes” represent the New York of my youth: dirty and a little dangerous.
LANDMARK – ALL NATURAL: The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden — New York is a city of landmarks.
But the Museum of Natural History, across the street from Central Park on the Upper West Side, is a world unto itself. With 46 permanent exhibition halls containing 32 million specimens (including a life-size blue whale model), it’s an amazing place to get lost for a day.
POPULAR MUSICIAN – THE TRANSPLANT: John Lennon’s wit was unmistakably British, but his attitude was pure New York. In the last years of his life, the former Beatle was right at home in the Dakota, reveling in the city’s energy and anonymity. He also posed for a few memorable photographs, formally endorsing his adopted home.
