MassDOT and MBTA to hold public meeting in Hingham

On Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 6p.m., representatives from the MBTA and Mass-DOT will hold a public meeting in the auditorium at Hingham Town Hall.

The meeting is part of a series of over 25 that will be held in the greater Boston area to give the public a chance to comment on proposed fare hikes and service cuts for T riders.

The MBTA is proposing these measures to close a predicted $161 million budget gap for Fiscal Year 2013.

At the meeting, MBTA staff will provide an overview of the proposed options, encourage feedback from attendees, and hold a question and answer period.
