Emeritus hosts grand reopening
The public is invited to five grand reopening events at Emeritus at Farm Pond in Framingham, starting today and continuing to March 8, to celebrate the senior living community’s latest improvements and welcome its new leadership team. These events include three open houses with experts on hand to answer senior care questions, a jazz brunch and a grand reopening party. The topic of today’s event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is brain health. The facility is at 200 West Farm Pond Road. O’Brien completes three leases
Bret O’Brien of Greater Boston Commercial Properties (GBCP) in Marlborough recently completed three office lease transactions totaling 9,687 square feet in MetroWest. O’Brien represented Aldata Solutions Inc. in subleasing 5,489 square feet at 377 Simarano Drive in Marlborough for the duration of its term, which runs until Dec. 31, 2015. Ken Shaffer of The Shaffer Company represented The Rovisys Co., which subleased the space. Aldata has since relocated its downsized offices to 5 Mount Royal Ave. in Marlborough. Aldata was represented by O’Brien in the new 1,908-square-foot lease at Mount Royal Avenue, while the landlord Haynes Management was represented by Steve Bradley of Northeast Select Properties LLC. In Hopkinton, GBCP represented the landlord TT Realty Trust in a new 2,300-square-foot lease at 87 Elm St. O’Brien also procured the tenant Residential Mortgage Services and was the sole broker of record in the Elm Street transaction.
National Grid eyes smart grid plan
Waltham-based National Grid, its customers, the city of Worcester and a diverse cross section of groups and individuals have pooled their knowledge to help develop a revised smart grid pilot proposal designed to “energize” Worcester by creating greater energy efficiency, greater choice for customers in how they use energy, increased electric system reliability and a cleaner environment. Recently filed for approval with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, the pilot also is intended to improve service to customers. Credit union helps Natick food pantry
The NMTW Community Credit Union recently announced the results of its month-long food drive which took place at all NMTW branch locations to support the Natick-based A Place To Turn food pantry. NMTW donated more than 1,000 pounds of food to assist A Place To Turn in its mission to provide emergency food to those in need in MetroWest communities. Based in Lowell, NMTW has a branch in Framingham.
