The Old State House, located on Boston’s Freedom Trail, was the
epicenter of civic life in 18th-century Boston. As such, the Old State
House was the scene of some of the most dramatic events leading up to
the American Revolution. Just outside the building, the Boston Massacre
occurred on March 5, 1770, and, in 1776, America’s Declaration of
Independence was proclaimed from its balcony. Today, the restored
building houses artifacts and exhibits from the collections of The
Bostonian Society.

CityPASS travelers will also enjoy the New England Aquarium’s recently
opened Shark
and Ray Touch Tank
, where visitors can safely touch various
species of rays and small sharks; the expansive Art
of the Americas
wing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston;
stunning views from Skywalk Observatory; and the Museum of Science’s
newly renovated Charles
Hayden Planetarium
.

And at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, a new exhibition titled Mollusks:
Shelled Masters of the Marine Realm
runs through February 2014.
Included with CityPASS admission, the exhibition explores mollusks’
remarkable diversity and features recent discoveries in their
evolutionary history.
