Supporters of a joint Foxboro casino venture between Vegas baron Steve Wynn and Patriots [team stats] owner Robert Kraft are launching a new public relations front. Pro-casino group Jobs for Foxboro announced yesterday a new website, WynnFoxborough.com, containing information on the project. It also includes a video, which was mailed to Foxboro homeowners. Last week, Wynn Resorts released drawings of the casino.
Road to 2012
Tomorrow is Super Tuesday when 10 states — including Massachusetts — vote or caucus with more than 400 delegates up for grabs. All eyes are on Ohio, although many also will pay attention to Georgia to see how handily former House Speaker Newt Gingrich can win his home state. Any trouble could spell doom for Gingrich’s post-Super Tuesday chances. Romney is widely expected to win big here in the Bay State.
Work on the budget continues as the House and Senate Ways and Means Committee holds its final budget hearing Friday. Senate Showdown
Scott Brown will host a fundraiser with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie tonight at the Westin Copley Hotel. Elizabeth Warren will visit polls tomorrow, then make a campaign appearance in the Merrimack Valley on Thursday. Meanwhile, a poll from Western New England University released yesterday puts Brown ahead of Warren, 49-41, with a 4.3 percent margin of error. The poll of 527 registered voters was conducted Feb. 23 to March 1.
