“I was just fucking improvising and insulting people, doing what I normally do! I didn’t think it was as good as Boogie Nights or Three Kings,” says the straight-talking Bostonian in the pages of Hot Press. “I think they gave me an opportunity to show off a lot more range.”
Talking to HP’s Roe McDermott, Wahlberg says he was prouder of his nomination as producer of The Fighter. “I really was the one pushing that movie along for so long, that I felt more connected to the film as a producer and a driving force behind the film, than I even did through my performance. So whenever I was promoting the movie or campaigning, it was always about the movie, and not me.”
In a wide ranging interview, Mark also talked about why he goes to Mass every day, expressed his disdain for ‘For Your Consideration’ award campaigns and made it clear that the upcoming Entourage movie will not go the way of Sex And The City.
