(NECN) – Paul Guzzi, president and CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, joined NECN Business from NECN’s Suffolk University studios in downtown Boston to talk about the latest economic developments in the Hub.
A report released on Thursday said Boston employers added 6,600 jobs in January, and that the local unemployment rate held at a steady 6.9 percent. Guzzi explains why those numbers, while not great, aren’t all that bad, either.
Guzzi also gives us his take on the recently revised numbers of the amount of new jobs created last year in Boston. Initially, it was determined that 4,100 jobs were created – now, it seems 9,000 jobs were created.
Guzzi also gives us his takeaways from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s economic outlook breakfast that was held on Thursday.
