BLINK and you would have missed it. Light heavyweight Callum Johnson eased to his fourth professional victory as his destroyed Tommy ‘The Tiger’ Tolan in just 90 seconds.

The Boston powerhouse had already floored the 38-year-old Belfast man before his team threw in the towel in the first round on Saturday night.

It was a quick but effective display from the 26-year-old Bostonian.

And in front of a 5,000-strong crowd at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena – plus those watching on TV – he did exactly what he set out to do.

“I wanted to put on a show, I said that before I went up to Scotland,” Johnson told The Standard.

“But I think the way in which I stopped him will make people take even more notice.”

Boston’s Commonwealth Games gold medallist is now eyeing a further five fights this year, and is already in discussions today and tomorrow about the chance to get back into the ring swiftly.

Unbeaten Johnson devastated Tolan with a series of head and body shots which had the Irishman rocking.
