Richard W. Carlson, founder and CEO of Carlson-GMAC Real Estate, will be the recipient of Marian Court College’s 4th Annual Beacon Award.
Mr. Carlson will be honored on Thursday, April 26th at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
The Marian Court College Beacon Award is presented annually to recognize an individual or organization who “lights the way to a better tomorrow by supporting educational initiatives and the college’’s core values of integrity, compassion, justice, and service.”
We are expecting close to 200 prominent attendees from around the Greater Boston area and the North Shore to celebrate Mr. Carlson.
“Dick Carlson is an individual who has demonstrated the Corporal Works of Mercy throughout his life,” said Ghazi Darkazalli, Marian Court College president and CEO. “We are fortunate to have him involved with the college and in the community, setting an example of where our students can go in life through hard work, dedication, and service to others.”
Dick resides in Marblehead with his wife Jean where he enjoys time spent with his three children and eight grandchildren.
He is currently serving his fifth term as president of the Marblehead Museum and Historical Society. Dick is a well-known collector of antiques — specializing in decoys and items pertaining to Marblehead.
