Soap, water and elbow grease were everywhere at Sharon’s Temple Kol Tikvah and Sharon High School this morning, and for good reason.
The proceeds from these two car washes supported local causes.
On Dunbar Street, off South Main, Temple Kol Tikvah’s fundraiser benefitted the Abundant Table, which serves “weekly free meals to individuals and families in need residing in the Greater Boston suburbs of Norwood, Walpole, Canton, Dedham, Westwood and beyond,” according to the Norwood-based nonprofit’s website.
Nearby, Sharon High girls lacrosse players raised funds to support their program. The Eagles travel to Coyle and Cassidy on Monday for 6 p.m. varsity start (the JV game will follow). Sharon then is home on Wednesday, playing Mansfield at 3:45 p.m.
