Medford’s unemployment rate dropped about 1 percent from February to March, comparable to state trends.
The state’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.4 percent in March, down significantly from the 7.5 percent mark posted in February, according to numbers released by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development, while Medford’s rate fell from 6 percent to 5.2 percent.
The compares to a 5.5 percent rate in Boston, 3.3 percent in Cambridge, 3.7 percent in Arlington, 5.4 percent in Malden and 3.9 percent in Somerville, according to the data.
