Kimberly Steimle, Suffolk Construction‘s chief marketing officer and chief people officer, was honored as one of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 recipients of the Ten Outstanding Young Leaders (TOYL) awards.
Reviving the celebration of Greater Boston’s current and future leaders, a reception on June 21st at the Westin Waterfront Hotel will honor Steimle and her nine fellow recipients.
At Suffolk, Steimle is responsible for the overall management of the company’s branding platform, corporate marketing, business development, and community outreach campaigns. She also oversees the human resources and training departments.
In addition to her role at Suffolk, Steimle is involved in the local business and philanthropic communities and has been recognized several times for her leadership skills, community involvement and achievements.
Since the inception of the TOYL awards, over 500 young leaders from the Greater Boston community have been honored for their professional, personal, and civic commitments. Steimle joins a list that includes President John F. Kennedy, conductor Leonard Bernstein, Red Sox legend Carl Yastrzemski, and community advocate Carol Fulp.
The TOYL awards were presented by the Boston Jaycees from 1952 to 2006 and, after a five-year hiatus, the Chamber is resuming these awards with the support of the U.S. Jaycees.
