B-Tracks member Soren Jahan will release his first album next month under the name René Audiard.
Entitled Pechorin, the album comes less than a year after Jahan’s record debut as one half of B-Tracks, his project with fellow Bostonian John Barera. Jahan and Barera launched Supply Records last September and have put out two of their own EPs on the label since then. The fledgling imprint has already turned a few heads, earning recommendations from Hard Wax and landing the duo a gig at Panorama Bar—their first booking outside their hometown.
Working on his own, Jahan sounds a bit deeper and darker than he does in B-Tracks. Pechorin presents seven cuts of dubbed out, rough-around-the-edges house with moments of pure ambience. The album will be available on Supply as a double 12-inch.
