Archstone
, the privately-held, Colorado-based apartment builder and manager, has named Robert McCullough to group vice president of development for Greater Boston.
McCullough, who has over 20 years of real estate industry experience, has overseen more than $1.5 billion worth of developments, including 7,740 apartment homes and 1.3 million square feet of commercial office space, the company said. This is McCullough’s second stint at Archstone, where he led Boston development efforts from 1999 to 2004.
Most recently, McCullough was president and founder of Aequitas Properties, a private real estate company focused on co-investing private capital with institutional real estate partners. In addition, McCullough has held leadership positions at JPI and General Investment Development. He holds degrees in finance and a master in business administration from Boston University
.
McCullough could not immediately be reached for comment. In a statement he said “the Boston area is a robust market with a diverse economy, limited land on which to build and many highly desirable neighborhoods with expensive single family homes. Those qualities make it a core market for Archstone and an excellent place for us to develop high-quality apartment housing.”
