The Red Sox Wives are continuing the great tradition of supporting the Greater Boston Food Bank with their Cash and Can Drive. The Sox wives have been supporting the food bank for over two decades and you can help them out with their mission to help end hunger in Massachusetts both tonight (7/20) and tomorrow (7/21).
The wives will be outside the gates from 2 hours prior to start until about the 2nd inning or so. If you bring 10 cans of food or $10 you can not only meet and say hi to some of the Red Sox wives, but you also get a signed picture of a current Red Sox player. More importantly, that money goes directly to the Greater Boston Food Bank which is an organization that provides food and services to those experiencing hunger in eastern Massachusetts.
Last year, Red Sox fans donated 5,284 pounds of food and $23, 226. Let’s see if we can beat that this year.
Please note that you do not have to have a ticket to the game to donate. The Sox wives with be outside the gates so you can donate cans or cash by walking right up to the tables whether you have a ticket or not.
