The Director of the Corporate Work Study Program at Cristo Rey Boston High School oversees a program that employs and trains every student ina corporate work place and generates 60% of the school’s operating revenue. In 2011-12, Cristo Rey Boston students worked at 115 companies in Greater Boston.
The school will have 330 students in 2012-13 and has a full enrollment goal of 400 students. Cristo Rey is college preparatory and educates only low-income students.
The Director of the Corporate Work Study Program owns the relationship with each client and the performance of each student at every corporate partner. S/he is responsible for securing work-study jobs for students at Boston area companies and for overseeing the placement, training, supervision and evaluation of students at these firms. The Director is responsible for securing and retaining $2.2 million in revenue. S/he oversees a staff of one full-time employee (an Assistant Director) and two full-time volunteers, works closely with the school’s Principal and is a member of the school’s Leadership Team.
The Work Study Director reports to the school’s President.
