GBBC Hosts Boat Cruise, Benefits Social Action Groups

The Greater Boston Business Council (GBBC) Massachusetts LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and TD Bank hosted their annual dinner boat cruise to benefit AIDS Action and Community Servings. This year nearly 300 guests danced, mingled and enjoyed a warm summer evening under the stars cruising around Boston harbor, enjoying views of the Boston skyline and Harbor Islands.

“The 2012 GBBC/TD Bank boat cruise to benefit Aids Action and Community Services, was a great success. Everyone had a great time, great food and fun music, and great weather. Thanks to all the volunteers from, TD, AAC, CS and Kappa Psi Kappa, without them we would not have been able to do it. There is no better way to spend an evening than among friends and family and a great cause..” said Vivian Meranda, GBBC Vice President.

TD Bank and the GBBC selected the AIDS Action Committee and Community Servings to be benefactors of the event based on their exemplary contributions to the community. The event raised close to $8,000 in donations, which will be divided between both organizations.

“GBBC is very proud to be partnered with TD Bank, AIDS Action Committee and Community Servings.  TD Bank’s mission to be committed to the LGBT Community has been demonstrated time and time again through all of their community outreach.  They are truly an example of corporate America giving back to the communities they are a part of. “said Ed Travers II, GBBC President.

Founded in 1983, AIDS Action is New England’s largest AIDS service organization.
