For a region of the country that’s not supposed to have enough land available for mega-development projects, the Boston area sure seems to have a lot of mega-developments under way these days.

Granted, Massachusetts isn’t Texas, known for its huge swaths of affordable, undeveloped land that’s a main linchpin of its economic attraction and success.

But developers and policy makers agree that Greater Boston today is seeing a somewhat remarkable number of huge private-sector projects, buoyed by public-sector partners, that are transforming the local economic landscape.
