Five Things: Somerville Resident Raises Money for Greater Boston Food Bank

1) Somerville resident helping fight hunger
Catherine D’Amato, of Somerville, was one of 300 local business and community leaders who gathered Sept. 19 at the Women Fighting Hunger breakfast organized by The Greater Boston Food Bank, according to an email send on behalf of  the hunger organization. The banquet raised over $55,000 to help fight hunger in the New England area.

2) Crazy cellist
Rushad Eggleston will be at The Burren tonight for what looks like some boisterous folk music with crazy cello-playing. It starts at 8 p.m.

3) Life on the Campaign Trail
Kate Chang, who worked on campaigns for Hillary Clinton, John Kerry and Michael Capuano, and who’s a district representative for Capuano, will give a talk, “Life on the Campaign Trail,” tonight at 6 p.m. at the Council on Aging’s intergenerational LGBT gathering.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox are off today. There will be some clouds today with highs in the mid 60s.
