Mansfield Bank Opens Boston Loan Center, Adds Executives

Mansfield Bank is expanding its footprint to Greater Boston and will offer both residential and commercial loan products at its new loan office at 75 Arlington St. in Boston.

Norman Hayes, vice president, will spearhead Mansfield Bank’s commercial lending efforts at the Boston office. Hayes has worked for 14 years in commercial lending, the last six as a Metro-South commercial lender with Mansfield Bank.

Brendan Minich has joined Mansfield Bank as a mortgage loan officer. He will be handling residential mortgage loan originations out of the Boston office. He has worked in the mortgage industry for nearly four years, most recently as a mortgage originator for Cambridge Savings Bank.

In other moves at Mansfield Bank:

• David Santoro has joined the bank’s MCB Financial Services as a financial consultant. Santoro has 20 years of experience serving retail investors.

• William Benford has been hired as a vice president, commercial lending officer. He previously was managing director of special assets at UPS Capital Business Credit and national sales manager of a small business lending group. He has more than 20 years of banking experience in relationship management for small businesses and middle market companies.

• Craig E. Schermerhorn has joined the bank as vice president, commercial lending officer. He has extensive experience in the commercial real estate lending field, having held previous positions of vice president and senior relationship manger for MT Bank and senior vice president of commercial real estate at Citizens Bank.

•  Marianne Mackie has been promoted to residential mortgage originator. She previously worked with MCB Financial Services at Mansfield Bank for six years as office manager.

•  Albert Jaffarian has joined Mansfield Bank as commercial financial analyst. He has more than 25 years of commercial lending experience, previously holding positions at Citizens Bank, Bank of Boston and BankRI.
