Lexington’s Coldwell Banker selling pies for charity

The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Lexington will help to sell Thanksgiving pies prepared and donated by more than 150 of Greater Boston’s top restaurants and caterers.

Apple, pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato and diabetic apple pies will be sold for $25 each to benefit the clients of Community Servings as part of its annual “Pie in the Sky” fundraiser. Community Servings is a nonprofit organization that provides free, home-delivered meals to acutely ill individuals, their families and their caregivers in 18 cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. For every pie sold, Community Servings will be able to feed one client for five days.

This is the 20th anniversary of Pie in the Sky. Last year, Coldwell Banker Residential helped to raise $550,000 to feed individuals and families who are ill with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-threatening illnesses — with 93 cents of every dollar raised going directly to providing meals.

Pie sales are taking place now and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 17. Pies can be ordered by calling the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Lexington at 781-862-2600, or by visiting pieinthesky.org.

Pies will be available for pick up on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Lexington, 25 Waltham St., from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
