Now you can do good and eat well by dining at some of the Boston area’s most celebrated restaurants during the 31st annual Super Hunger Brunch on Jan. 26 and 27. With a list of more than 21 restaurants, diners can choose dishes from menus designed especially for the Super Hunger Brunch. Prices are set at $25, $35 and $50 per person. In 2012, more than 1,600 people took part in this fundraising effort for the Greater Boston Food Bank that raised more than $67,000.
Chefs Jody Adams of Rialto, Gordon Hamersley of Hamersley’s Bistro, Mary Dumont of Harvest Restaurant, Tony Maws of Craigie on Main, Paul O’ Connell of Chez Henri, Frank McClelland of New France, Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger and Brooke Vosika of The Bristol Lounge at The Four Seasons are longtime champions of The Greater Boston Food Bank and serve on the Super Hunger Brunch Culinary Committee.
Participating restaurants include 80 Thoreau, Appetito, Blue Ginger, Chez Henri, CLINK, Craigie on Main, Darryl’s Corner Bar, Grill 23 Bar, Hamersley’s Bistro, Harvest Restaurant, La Morra, L’Espalier, North 26, Rialto, Sel de la Terre, Stella, The Elephant Walk, The Fireplace, Tomasso Trattoria, Tosca and Tres Gatos.
In-kind donations have been provided by Garelick Farms and Pete and Gerry’s Organic Eggs.
The Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. GBFB distributes nearly 41 million pounds of food and grocery products annually to 550 member hunger-relief agencies and more than 30 direct service programs throughout eastern Massachusetts in a dedicated partnership to end hunger in our region.
