“Each plate of food is going to someone with a different struggle,” Hulseberg said in a statement. “The 40,000 people who walk and raise money on May 5th will directly help a huge number of individuals like those at Pine Street Inn.”
Project Bread is the state’s leading anti-hunger association. Through its Walk For Hunger millions of dollars are raised each year to support 430 community food programs in 125 communities statewide, according to its website.
