U.S. Bancorp Foundation has given the YMCA of Greater Boston’s Training Inc. program a $10,000 gift, its first donation in the Boston market this year.
Training Inc. is a free program that helps unemployed and underemployed people return to work in new careers. YMCA Training Inc. graduates are hired at more than 50 major companies in Greater Boston, according to a statement. Since its inception in 1986 as part of the YMCA of Greater Boston, more than 4,000 people have graduated from Training Inc..
U.S. Bancorp Foundation contributes to nonprofit organizations that address human services and needs in the community and support education, affordable housing, economic opportunity and artistic and cultural enrichment.
