Meryl Thompson of Marblehead and Louise Sharp of Swampscott have been named co-chairmen of a committee of more than 25 North Shore residents planning the 19th annual Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston Auction and Regatta.
The events will take place at the Boston Yacht Club, 1 Front St. in Marblehead on Friday, June 14 and Sunday, June 16.
This year’s signature artist is Marblehead native Christopher Gurshin, an Americana folk artist who has created “Marblehead Memories Forever,” a painting depicting the town’s well-known landmarks, including sentimental details like hollyhocks, the Old Town House, JOJ Frost, “Spirit of ’76,” and many other unmistakably fine town features. The painting will be on display at the Arnould Gallery and Framery the week prior to the auction in June.
