Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston, a leading nonprofit hospice provider in Massachusetts, is pleased to announce its new volunteer manager, Sheryl Meehan of Lawrence.
Meehan has a rich history of community service, according to Hospice, serving on the board of directors for several organizations including the Haverhill Rotary Club, Lawrence YMCA, Family Services Inc. and the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce. Her past positions include manager of volunteer services for Merrimack Valley Hospice, president of CPR Technologies Inc. and director of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce. Meehan is currently an assistant governor for the Rotary International’s District 7930.
Meehan will lead the team of HNSGB volunteer coordinators and oversee the recruitment, training and retention of over 450 volunteers serving in over 90 communities in Massachusetts.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful organization and to have the opportunity to assist with Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston’s mission of enriching the quality of life of those affected by life-limiting illness,” said Meehan. “I firmly believe that volunteers are the ‘heart’ of hospice, and I am constantly inspired by their dedication, compassion and commitment to make a difference.”
