$0 Joiner Fee on Workshop Days
[Boston, MA – April 10, 2013] – The Wang YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Greater Boston is helping the community kick start a healthy lifestyle. Through April and May, the Wang YMCA offers free fitness workshops in an effort to encourage healthier living open to both members and the community. Anyone who signs up for membership on workshop days pays no joiner fee for membership and receives $10 Y Bucks to spend on Y programming. Members who refer a friend also get Y Bucks towards Y programs. Members who refer a friend also get Y Bucks towards Y programs. The free workshops are a part of the YMCA of Greater Boston’s Healthy Lifestyles Start Here campaign. The campaign aims to promote and embrace the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. All workshops and fitness courses are fun and informative and include a group workout session.

Wednesday, April 17 6:00- 6:45am: Triathlon Training
Explore the sport of triathlon, and learn how to plan a training schedule
Wednesday, April 24 7:15- 8:00pm: Shoe Fit Walk to Run for Adults with Saucony
Saucony shows you how to choose the proper footwear, and reviews foot strike analysis and basic walk to run programming
Friday, May 3 12:00- 12:45pm: Triathlon Training
Explore the sport of triathlon, and learn how to plan a training schedule
Friday, May 10 3:00- 4:00pm: Shoe Fit Walk to Run for Teens with Saucony
Saucony shows you how to choose proper footwear and reviews foot strike analysis along with basic walk to run programming
Wednesday, May 15 5:45- 6:30pm: Sports Conditioning for Teens and Young Adults
Get teems and young adults moving with off season training, key movement patterns and proper training methods
Wednesday, May 22 6:00- 7:00pm: Nutrition Myths Busted
Take the guess work out of nutrition and bust myths so you can be confident about your eating habits
