Just over 48 hours after the Boston Marathon bombing, many sports fans in the greater Boston area gathered at the TD Garden for the Bruins home game against the Buffalo Sabres. And while the B’s lost the game 3-2 in a shootout, the result seemed insignificant. The emotion in the building was palpable from the very beginning. While the legendary Rene Rancourt started the national anthem prior to the game, the 17,565 fans on hand finished it in unison. If you missed the stirring pregame tribute, you can see it right here.
