State Sen. Katherine Clark, D-Melrose, joined the Greater Boston Mother’s Day Walk in honor of victims of gun violence and their families on Saturday, May 11.
Participants carried eight paper flowers in honor of the eight children per day who are killed by guns in the United States.
Clark urged participants to come together to “demand sensible gun laws, effective implementation of those laws, and a change in our culture around guns and violence.”
“I believe that together we can find common ground and work together for reforms that stem the tide of gun violence and keep our communities more secure and all our children safer,” she said.
