A summary of small leases, transactions and ground breakings within Greater Boston’s real estate community.

Oliver Wyman, a consulting firm, has renewed its 55,000-square-foot lease at the John Hancock Tower in Boston’s Back Bay. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. A first quarter report from Jones Lang LaSalle (NYSE: JLL) said asking rents in the Back Bay were $55.47. Avison Young represented the tenant, Boston Properties, the landlord, represented themselves.

AngioDynamics, a medical devise maker, has signed a 31,000 square foot lease extension at Lake Williams Corporate Center at 26 Forest St. in Marlborough. Owned by Great Point Investors, the property is a 125,000 square foot, Class A office complex. Cushman Wakefield represented the tenant.

The Massachusetts Historical Commission presented an award to Trinity Financial for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of Appleton Mills in Lowell. The $64 million project, which features 130 live/work apartments, was chosen based on the redevelopment of the former Appleton Manufacturing Co. Trinity worked with Copley Wolff Design Group and ICON Architecture for phase one of the Hamilton Canal District Master Plan.

Redstone American Grill is planning to open next year in Burlington. The Minniapolis-based eatery with a half dozen restaurants, has signed a 10,000-square-foot lease with Nordblom Co. at 3rd Ave. in Northwest Park, a mixed-use redevelopment that will be anchored by Wegmans.

Vans, an outdoor sports fashion retailer, and skateshop DQM, will open at 174 Newbury St. in Boston. The 1,200-square-foot store is slated to open in July.
