Andrea McDonough, a broker at Bushari Group Real Estate in Boston, was named in the “30 Under 30” list in Realtor Magazine. The selection criteria for the annual award include professional leadership, success, community involvement and the application of creative and innovative business techniques. McDonough joined the company in 2008 and became a top producing agent. She did $6.9 million in sales last year. Her commercial real estate background made her transition into residential projects seamless, the company said. Her knowledge of market analysis and emphasis on creative marketing give McDonough’s clients a competitive edge when purchasing and selling, the company added.
Start-Up City: Building Boston’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, a half-day conference sponsored by Harvard Kennedy School’s Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, will be held on June 11 at One Marina Park Drive, in Boston. The program will feature entrepreneurs, public officials, and academics to examine Boston’s competitive position and consider how the region can spur growth. Among the speakers include: Kairos Shen, chief planner at the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Edward Glaeser, economics professor at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Scott Griffith, Former CEO of ZipCar and Jennifer Lum, co-founder of Adelphic Mobile. Mayor Thomas M. Menino will offer closing remarks.
