Mayor Thomas M. Menino was honored with the Paul Keough Environmental Energy Award for Government Service. The Environmental Business Council of New England distinguished the mayor for his accomplishments generating an energy efficient and green environment in Boston. This award highlights Menino’s progress in his local fight against climate change.
David M. Abromowitz of law firm Goulston Storrs was this year’s recipient of B’nai B’rith Housing’s 2013 Distinguished Achievement Award. He was recognized for his part in aiding the creation of low-cost housing for the needy.
Gabrielle Dockterman of Carlisle is part of a research team that has been awarded $100,000 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and National Institutes of Health, as part of the department’s “My Air, My Health Challenge.” The group developed a clothing line that calculates the harmful health effects of air pollution.
R.W. Holmes Realty received an award for “Largest Dollar Volume” in an office transaction by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. The deal was finalized in Tel Aviv, Israel.
