Co-chairmen named for Hospice Walk

The 26th annual Walk for Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Returning as co-chairman is Tom Gould of Peabody, and joining him are Maureen Trefry, vice president for Eastern Bank, and Karen Gagne, assistant vice president for Eastern Bank.

According to Hospice, Gould, Trefry and Gagne bring incredible enthusiasm to the event and invite everybody in the community to unite on Sept. 22 in memory of those who have made an impact on our lives, and in honor of the caregivers who so lovingly provided care.

The three-mile Walk begins on the campus of St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, and includes a Walk Village with face painting, music, snacks and tribute wall. More than 6,000 participants are expected at the event, which raises essential funds for Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston to continue its mission of serving those affected by life-limiting illness, death and loss. People of all ages are welcomed. A short route and tribute laps around the Prep’s track are also options for those who require a level walking surface.

Friends, families and businesses are encouraged to form walking teams in memory or in honor of loved ones or colleagues. If interested in forming a team or obtaining a sponsor form, visit www.hnsgb.org/walk or call the Walk Office at 978-223-9787.
