Software firm taking RV across country to spread "buy local" message

Sage North America is taking an RV cross-country, stopping in Boston on July 15 to visit its second of 16 cities on a 50-day tour. Sage executives will be at Harpoon Brewery, a client, for a lunch and brewery tour, meeting with the Harpoon team and interacting with consumers at the South Boston waterfront location.

The California-based company, a provider of business management software to small and midsized businesses, will be talking to clients nationwide, as well as spreading a “buy local” message.”

Executives will also meet with another one of their clients, Boston-based Dentaquest, during the Boston visit.

The company reports of the nearly 120,000 small businesses in Greater Boston, 23 percent plan to hire more employees this year, adding significant job opportunities for Boston residents.

Sage North America, a subsidiary of Sage Worldwide, services more than 3.2 million customers who employ one to 500 or more people.
