The MetroWest YMCA announced today it has purchased Clearbrook Swim Club on Parker Road from the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston.
“With the need for outdoor recreational space and places for families to spend time together and meet others, the MetroWest YMCA is preserving and enhancing this hidden gem for the area community to enjoy. It was great to work with the JCC to make this happen,” Richard A. MacPherson, president and CEO of the MetroWest YMCA, said in a press release..
Mark Sokoll, president CEO of JCCs of Greater Boston said his organization is thrilled the YMCA purchased Clearbrook.
“This outcome will allow both of our organizations to enhance our successful programming for families in this region,” he said in the release. “It’s been a pleasure working with the Y.”
The facility will be open for tours July 24 and 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. A ribbon cutting will be held at noon July 26, followed by an open house and free swim for the community from noon to 7 p.m.
The Y’s new Clearbrook Family Swim Club, which will officially re-open July 27, includes a four-lane outdoor pool, game room, picnic area, playground, free parking and bath houses. The pool will be open Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
