Rolling Stone Magazine’s thirst of controversy has left American’s outright disgusted with the magazine’s bizarre choice to put Boston Bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, on its cover.
The magazine portrays Tsarnaev as a flawed hero; a bright and intelligent student who made some wrong choices. The article has interviews from childhood friends, teachers, neighbors and law enforcement agencies.

Rolling Stone released the cover via Facebook and said, “In our new issue, contributing editor Janet Reitman delivers a deeply reported account of the life of Boston bomber Jahar Tsarnaev.”
Rolling Stone’s Facebook page was flooded with mainly negative comments, and news of the magazine’s cover is trending in the Boston area.
One Facebook post read, “I am so disappointed with Rolling Stone Magazine. I have enjoyed your magazine up until now. I will no longer buy/read the mag. You have just made him a “rock star”. How could you?”
Some Bostonians are outraged enough that they are taking action. Fans are beginning to organize boycotts against the magazine’s cover story.
“Being from Boston, I take this personally offensive that this s*** bag is even a thought, never mind given the cover! I don’t care about his religion, race, sex or his poor family. He is bomber #2 in the white hat… That’s the most description I need. How about putting Jeff Bauman on the cover, who lost both his legs during this horrific event, but was still strong enough to identify this f*** and his demon brother before they took him into surgery. I personally know people who were directly injured… Thanks for adding even more insult to injury! Rolling Stone has hit an all time low and I wouldn’t even wipe my a** with it…. Disgraceful!” said Boston Native, Jenna DeMato Herbert.
The Bostonian spirit has risen up again on account of this article, as many Bostonians are not afraid to speak out against the magazine.
“As a veteran, and a Bostonian, I am shocked! How dare you glorify the enemy! How dare you make him look like a model on your cover! How dare you insult my people, and the victims! Congratulations, you have just got the attention you were looking for. Do you really think that anyone is going to buy this magazine now? Wasn’t this magazine intended for use of special celebrities on the rise? I, as an American patriot, am disgusted by your choice Rolling Stone!” Josh Smith said.
