Gov. Deval Patrick traveled to his hometown of Chicago Tuesday to make good on the wager he lost against Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn after the Boston Bruins lost to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup Final last month.
According to an Associated Press report published here by the Boston Herald, Patrick sorted pears at theĀ Greater Chicago Food Depository alongside Quinn Tuesday.
Patrick posted the above picture from his official Twitter account Tuesday, saying: “Governor Patrick makes good on his #Stanleycup bet with @GovernorQuinn. Both still hard at work.”
If the Bruins has won, the two would have volunteered at the Greater Boston Food Bank, according to the AP.
