Care.com is among the sponsors of a business plan competition for female entrepreneurs, aimed at ventures founded in the Greater Boston area.

Along with a $10,000 prize, the winner of the 2013 Female Entrepreneur Challenge will receive office space at Waltham-based Care.com for six months.

The winner will also receive access to Care.com’s management team and introductions to the company’s advisors, as well as consulting sessions from another sponsor of the competition, CWE. Also sponsoring the competition is Magic 106.7.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, and the winner will be named Oct. 3, during CWE’s 7th Annual Women Business Leaders Conference in Dedham.

Applicants must be female entrepreneurs “who have either created or aspire to create ventures that have a positive social impact, are investable businesses, or are a combination of both,” according to the competition.

Care.com, which offers a popular caregiver services marketplace, was founded by CEO Sheila Lirio Marcelo in 2006.
