Boston, August 13, 2013 Boston.coms The Hive is on the lookout for exceptional people under the age of 25 who are making their mark in one of the areas innovation sectors. Twenty-five of these future industry leaders will be given a spot on The Hives inaugural 25 Under 25 list to be published in October.
Whether they are independent entrepreneurs or employees at top local companies, these 25 people represent the next generation of thought leaders in Greater Boston, and have already made their mark as innovators.
The Hives 25 Under 25 is unique in that we are recognizing individuals who have accomplished so much at an exceptionally young age, said Michael Morisy, editor of The Hive on Boston.com and one of the judges. While millennials are often caricatured as living on their parents’ couch, those who make the ’25 Under 25′ list are working to change the world.

- Nonprofit/Environmental

Submissions for The Hive 25 Under 25 opened on August 12. For more details, visit Boston.com/Hive25. The awards are intended to recognize individuals in the Greater Boston area. Companies and organizations as a whole are not eligible. The deadline for submissions is September 16. After a panel of judges reviews the entries, awards will be announced on October 1 on The Hive on Boston.com and in The Boston Globe. After the unveiling of this years 25 Under 25, The Hive will host an online voting component that allows readers to vote for superlatives – picking the best of the best on the list in unique categories. These honors will be announced at a 25 Under 25 celebration in October.
The awards will coincide with this years FutureM conference, a three-day event in Boston focusing on the future of marketing and technology, sponsored by the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX), where judges will host a Hive Under 25 panel discussion featuring some of this years winners.
