Lee Co. murder victim’s wife, 2 others arrested

OPELIKA, AL (WSFA) –

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says it has made three arrests in connection with the murder case of Carl Ellis Dickinson. The victim was found dead inside his home on Lee Road 649 in Waverly, Ala., on September 8.

Investigators say the suspects two suspects, Jake Ellis Bartlett, 21, of Notasulga, and Paul Nathan Phillips, 45, of Waverly, are each charged with one count of murder and one count of hindering prosecution. They were taken into custody Tuesday.

The third suspect, Angela Marie Dickinson, 30, of Waverly, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with one county of murder and one count of criminal solicitation. Authorities say she is the wife of the victim.

All three are currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on $250,000 bonds.
