A summary of personnel moves, events, accomplishments and awards in Greater Boston’s real estate community.
MassINC will celebrate the innovative spirit of Massachusetts’ historic Gateway Cities by honoring five individuals and two organizations that have had a transformative impact on their communities on November 12 at UMass/Boston. The winners include: Curt Spaulding: EPA regional administrator, Marc Dohan: executive director of the Twin Cities Community Development Corp., O’Connell Cos., Merrimack Valley Sandbox, Mary Waldron: executive director of Brockton 21st Century Corp., Armando Feliciano: chairman of the Springfield Redevelopment Authority, and Jay Minkarah, CEO of DevelopSpringfield.
Roger Humphrey has been appointed executive managing director to lead Jones Lang LaSalle’s Life Sciences division. Prior to joining JLL, Humphrey served as executive director of Global Real Estate and Integrated Facilities Management Governance for Merck Co., a developer, manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceuticals with a corporate real estate portfolio of more than 100 million square feet in 82 countries.
John Payne, Caesars Entertainment’s president for central markets and partnership development, has been named to a three-year term on the Greater Boston Convention Visitors Bureau’s board of directors. Payne oversees properties in eight states. He leads Caesars’ efforts to develop and operate a casino resort at Suffolk Downs. He joined the company in 1995. Payne is a graduate of Duke University and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
