HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) –
The man known as the “Ball Cap Bandit” entered a not guilty plea in court, Tuesday morning.
Cedrick Lamond Hicks was indicted in August on nine counts of bank robbery and two counts of attempted bank robbery after he allegedly robbed several banks across north Alabama.
The judge appointed Hicks a public defender at Tuesday’s arraignment hearing, but he did not set bond.
The maximum penalty for each robbery count is 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
