Playable
pianos will be placed in public Friday.
The
Celebrity Series of Boston is launching “Play Me, I’m Yours; The Street Pianos
Boston Festival,” in which 75 pianos will be located around the Greater Boston
area to be played by anyone passing by. The event honors the 75th anniversary
of the Celebrity Series of Boston.
The
group has published a map and lists of piano locations on its website.
Many
artists have contributed to the festival by colorfully decorating the pianos. Natalia Chilcote,
and artist from Jamaica Plain, painted a puzzle design on a piano ready for the
public.
The
pianos, which will be located in Boston, Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline,
will available between Sept. 27 and Oct. 14.
