Stoneham’s Carlino hired as ADA

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that Veronica Carlino has been hired as a new Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

Carlino, a Stoneham resident and a Malden native, is a graduate of New England Law. She is assigned to the Malden District Court.

“Veronica comes to our office having already gained experience in the private and public sectors,” Ryan said. “She brings compassion and understanding based on her work with Greater Boston Legal Services and the Department of Children and Families. We are thrilled to have her join the busy Malden District Court team.”

Prior to joining the office, Carlino worked as an intern with Essex District Attorney’s Office. She has served as a youth hearing coordinator in the legal department of DCF and as a legal intern with Greater Boston Legal Services. She also spent three years as a litigation project assistant in the Boston law firm Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale and Dorr LLP.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has hired 10 new lawyers as part of its 2013 fall class. The new ADAs have been assigned to the district courts throughout Middlesex County, including Framingham, Malden, Cambridge, Lowell, Woburn and Somerville. The new lawyers will add much needed staffing to the district courts in Middlesex County, which handle more than 30,000 cases each year.

The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office has a proud tradition of protecting and serving the people of Middlesex County through tough, fair prosecutions and proactive, progressive prevention and intervention efforts.

Middlesex County is the largest county in Massachusetts and one of the largest counties in the country, with 54 towns and cities and 26 colleges in urban, suburban and rural areas, comprising over one quarter of the population of Massachusetts.
