State Representative Aaron Michlewitz will be receiving the Public Advocate of the Year Award from the Greater Boston Food Bank this Saturday, October 5th. The award recognizes public officials who exemplify a strong commitment and dedication to the Greater Boston Food Bank and to ending hunger.
“I am both humbled and honored to be receiving this award from such an important Boston institution” said Representative Michlewitz. “Over the years I have enjoyed working with the Greater Boston Food Bank and helping them to fulfill their mission to end hunger in our community.”
Representative Michlewitz will be receiving the award during the Greater Boston Food Bank’s Partner Appreciation Day Open House. The annual event is meant to celebrate the organization’s many friends and supporters who dedicate their time and efforts to feeding those in the community who are in need.
Representative Michlewitz will be receiving the award with State Senator Stan Rosenberg, the Majority Leader in the Massachusetts Senate. Past winners have included Senator Jack Hart, Senate President Therese Murray, and Mayor Thomas Menino.
