Waltham resident Jerome Bowen and his son, Brian, participated on Sunday, Oct. 6, with friends and family in the Greater Boston Walk for Autism Speaks.

Brian Bowen was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. In the past four years, the Bowens’ group has raised more than $5,000 for autism awareness and research.

About 15,000 people supported the cause at the walk, which took place at Suffolk Downs in Boston.
