This just in: the Red Sox have won the World Series. And Bostonians are celebrating like mad tonight, a few of whom got to share their joy on the local news. Their drunk, unfiltered, hilariously profane joy.
The last time the Sox won at home was in 1918, and 95 years later, one fan proudly shouted on TV, “I wasn’t alive during 1918, obviously! And this was MORE THAN F*CKING HISTORY!”
The awkwardness of the whole situation was only heightened by the reporter’s polite reminder that they shouldn’t be swearing on the air, and the subsequent apology for how some people chose to celebrate the epic victory.
